![]() ![]() ![]() 691.035 seconds in the input mask, you first have to convert it to the given time format (in this example 00:11:31.035).Ĭut 14 min of this file and post it here, so i can take a look. So you don't need to enter anything here. This exact cut point is given on the right in seconds, the corresponding time is automatically converted and displayed in the input field. When pressing the Read times button, the keyframe is determined BEFORE the entered time (because ffmpeg cuts exactly here). The input mask for the start time is created for the fomat HH:MM:SS.MSS. The end time value works fine and cuts fine, it's only the start time value that is having the issue. The value reassignment means that if I hit Cut at this point, it just shaves maybe one frame off the front of the video. but then it re-assigns the value of the Start Time field to be 00:00:00.691 - it's assigning the seconds value to the field's milliseconds section. ![]() I have tried a couple of other app's, one I'd never heard of, "Lossless Cut", but it's got it's own problems.Essentially what seems to be happening is I enter a start time (11 minutes, 32 seconds), I click the "Read Times" button, the tool calculates that I mean the frame at 691.035 seconds. I was hoping that I might have been able to do it with an avisynth script in the encoding app I use, but I can't get it to cut the audio, so that's even worse. It's not your fault, it's just the way it is, unfortunately, it just doesn't work for me, on the videos I want to cut Well, it seems to be the "luck of the draw", EVERY video is different, the one you tested obviously had the keyframes in the correct position for the cut, I mean, some of the episodes I've done have been perfect, and others don't come close to the desired cut point. So everything as desired, frame accurate and smart rendered. The start frame fits exactly, the last frame is as desired the last P-frame before the entered I-frame (this guarantees a closed GOP). Then checked the cut video in Virtualdub2. Selected Frame accurate cut above, pressed check times and then pressed cut. I noted start time and end time and entered them into clever FFmpeg GUI, ![]() I loaded the video in Virtualdub2 and chose a B-Frame as startpoint. The keyframes cannot be moved, they are set by the encoder during encoding. ![]()
